Setting up a Conference

تنظيم مؤتمر

Asha : I am so tired; I can’t wait to get to the hotel. I need a couple of hours to rest.

أشا: انا متعبة جدا، لايمكنني الانتظار حتى اصل إلى الفندق. احتاج إلى ساعتين لأرتاح.

Liz : We are supposed to meet with the conference organizer as soon as we arrive at the hotel.

ليز: من المفترض ان نجتمع مع منظم المؤتمر حالما نصل إلى الفندق.

Asha : You have got to be kidding me. What time are we meeting her?

أشا: لابد انك تمازحينني. في اي وقت سنجتمع بهم؟

Liz : 9:30am, so we barely have time to put our luggage in the room.

ليز: التاسعة ونصف صباحا، لدينا وقت بالكاد لوضع امتعتنا بالغرفة.

Asha : Why didn’t you give us any time to gather ourselves once we get there?

آشا: لما لم تعطينا بعض الوقت لنستجمع قوانا بعد المجيء إلى هنا؟

Liz : I’m sorry but that was the only time she had available today.

ليز: انا متأسفة ولكن كان هذا الموعد الوحيد المتاح لهم اليوم.

Asha : Don’t do that again. When you are paying for something you schedule things to fit into your plan.

آشا: لاتفعلي هذا ثانية. عندما تبتاعين شيئا يجب التخطيط للأمور حتى تتناسب مع خططك.

Liz : I understand. I should demanded another meeting time.

ليز: افهم. ينبغي ان اطلب موعد اخر للاجتماع.

Asha : Ok we are here. I will fix this. I cannot meet the organizer at 9:30.

آشا: حسنا ها نحن هنا. سأصلح هذا. لايمكنني مقابلة المنظم في الساعة التاسعة والنصف.

Liz : What are you going to do?

ليز: ماذا ستفعلين؟

Asha : I am going to reschedule our meeting then we can go through our check list. I will come to your room as soon as I am finished.

آشا: سأقوم باعادة جدولة الاجتماع ثم سنقوم بمراجعة قائمة المهام. سآتي إلى غرفتك حالما انتهي.

Liz : Were you able to reschedule?

ليز: هل استطعت إعادة جدولة الاجتماع؟

Asha : Yes, it is at 4:00pm this evening.

آشا: نعم، سيكون في الرابعة مساء اليوم.

Liz : Impressive. What’s next?

ليز: رائع. ماذا بعد؟

Asha : Let’s talk about the schedule for the conference.

آشا: دعينا نتحدث عن جدول المؤتمر.

Liz : Well the function is going to be an entire day. There are three breaks scheduled.

ليز: حسنا سيكون العمل خلال اليوم باكمله. هناك ثلاث استراحات محددة الموعد.

Asha : I was thinking more along the lines of the agenda but we need to address this also.

آشا: كنت افكر بما ستحتويه الأجندة ولكن يجب علينا ايضا الاهتمام بهذا إيضا.

Liz : Well the agenda is well planned out. I put a copy in your folder for you.

ليز: حسنا الأجندة قد خططت بشكل جيد. سأضع نسخة في ملفك الأن.

Asha : Thank you I will take a look at that shortly. I just want to make sure everyone is aware of the time they are allotted to speak so that we run on schedule.

آشا: شكرا، سألقي نظرة عليها بعد قليل. اريد فقط التأكد ان الجميع يدرك كم من الوقت متاح لهم للحديث حتى نلتزم بالجدول.

Liz : Now what was your concern about the schedule for the day?

ليز: الأن ماذا كان يقلقك بشأن الجدول اليومي؟

Asha : We need to make sure that refreshments are provided during the two breaks; one before lunch and one after.

آشا: نريد التأكد ان المقبلات يتم توزيعها خلال الاستراحتين، واحدة قبل الغذاء والثانية بعده.

Liz : Right. The organiser has given me a menu both for the breaks and for lunch.

ليز: صحيح. منظم الؤتمر اعطاني قائمة الطعام لكلا من الاستراحات والغذاء.

Asha : We also need to have someone set up outside the room for registration. I have all the documents printed and put in folders for each participant.

آشا: وايضا نحتاج إلى شخص خارج القاعة ليعتني بالتسجيل. معي جميع المستندات مطبوعة في مغلف لكل مشترك.

Liz : I''''''''''''''''m making a note of that now.

ليز: سأقوم بتدوين ذلك

Asha : Next we need to check the room to be sure the microphones and laptops are working. Do you have a list of the participants?

آشا: ثم نحتاج إلى التحقق من القاعة للتأكد ان الميكروفون والحاسبات النقالة تعمل. هل لديك قائمة بالمشاركين؟

Liz : Yes I have a schedule with their arrival and departure times . Everyone will be staying at the same hotel.

ليز: نعم معي جدول بمواعيد وصولهم ومغادرتهم. سيمكث الجميع بنفس الفندق.

Asha : Good . I will go to my room and rest for a couple of hours. we can meet for lunch around 12:30pm.

آشأ: جيد. سأذهب إلى غرفتي واستريح لساعاتين. يمكننا اللقاء قي الغذاء الساعة الثانية عشر ونص مساءا

Liz : Sounds good. Later then.

ليز: يبدو جيدا. إلى حينها اذن.
