Liz : Did I mention my parents are thinking about moving to a retirement community?

ليز: هل ذكرت لك ان والديَ يفكرون بالانتقال إلى مجمع للمتقاعدين؟

Asha : No you didn’t tell me. When did they decide on this?

آشا: كلا لم تخبريني. متى اتخذوا هذا القرار؟

Liz : They have been thinking about it for some time but they told me this past weekend when I went to visit them that they’ve finally made their minds up to move there.

ليز: صار لهم بعض الوقت يفكرون بهذا الأمر ولكنهم اخبروني في عطلة الأسبوع الماضية عندما كنت ازورهما بانهما اتخذوا قرارهم اخيرا بالانتقال إلى هناك.

Asha : Did something happen that helped them come to this decision?

آشا: هل حدث شيء حثهم على اتخاذ هذا القرار؟

Liz : Well I think it has just become too difficult for them to be on their own now.

ليز: حسنا اعتقد انه اصبح من الصعب جدا الاعتماد على انفسهم.

Asha : that makes sense.

آشا: هذا منطقي

Liz : I will feel more comfortable knowing that they have help close by if they need it.

ليز: سأكون اكثر ارتياحا بعلمي ان هناك من يوفر لهم المساعدة اذا ما احتاجوا أليها.

Asha : I get where you are coming from. I feel exactly the same way.

آشا: افهم ما تفكرين به. انا ايضا اشعر بنفس الشيء.

Liz : It’s nice that they are able to care for each other but having not only nurses but also other people their age to keep them company makes it worth looking into.

ليز: انه لمن الجيد انهم مازالوا يهتمون ببعضهم البعض ولكن ان يكون معهم ليس فقط ممرضات وانما اشخاص اخرين من نفس عمرهم يرافقوهم يجعل الأمر جدير بالتفكير.

Asha : Have they chosen a home already?

آشا: هل قاموا باختيار مجمع بالفعل؟

Liz : They haven’t decided on one as yet because there are a few we still want to check. I went with them yesterday to look at a couple and they were pretty good.

ليز: لم يستقروا على شيء بعد لأن هناك القليل الذي نريد التحقق منه. ذهبت معهم بالأمس إلى اثنين وكانوا جيدين للغاية.

Asha : I would love to go with you. My mum is also looking to move to a retirement community.

آشا: أود ان آتي معك. أمي إيضا تفكر بالأنتقال إلى مجمع للمتقاعدين.

Liz : A retirement community is not quite the same a retirement home.

ليز: ان مجمع المتقاعدين ليس كدار المسنين.

Asha : That’s true. A retirement home has a full time nursing staff.

آشا: هذا صحيح. فان دار المسنين لديه فريق ممرضات طوال الوقت.

Liz : We will be going again next week, so we can all go together. In the meantime I have some brochures that you can look over with your mum.

ليز: سنذهب مرة اخرى الاسبوع القادم، يمكننا الذهاب معا. في الوقت نفسه معي بعض الكتيبات يمكنك مطالعتها مع والدتك.

Asha : That would be good. I think mum gets lonely sometimes and I know if he is with people in his age group he will probably be more active.

آشا: سيكون هذا جيد. اعقتد ان امي تشعر بالوحدة في بعض الاحيان واعلم انها اذا تواجدت مع اشخاص من نفس العمر ستكون اكثر نشاطا.

Liz : The individual units vary in price according to amenities being offered.

ليز: ان الوحدات المستقلة تختلف اسعارها وفقا لوسائل الراحة المعروضة.

Asha : mama prefer her own unit, she likes her own space.

آشا: أمي تفضل وحدتها الخاصة، فهي ترغب في مساحة لها.

Liz : So far I like the one on the hill near to the boulevard. It has a great golf course.

ليز: حتى الأن افضل تلك على التلة بالقرب من الشارع العريض المليء بالأشجار . هناك ملعب جولف شاسع.

Asha : I will have to look at that one.

آشا: لابد ان أرى هذا.

Liz : We can go this afternoon if you like. I wanted to have a look at it again anyhow.

ليز: يمكننا الذهاب هذا المساء إذا اردت. كنت اريد ان القي نظرة ثانية في كل الاحوال.
