Making a Presentation

Asha : Do you have all the materials for your presentation?

أشا: هل معك جميع الأغراض لتقديم العرض الخاص بك؟

Liz : I have a power point prepared and some leaflets to hand out.

ليز: معي ملف الباور بوينت جاهز وبعض الكتيبات لتوزيعها.

Asha : Sounds like you prepared thoroughly.

آشا: يبدو انك اعددت نفسك كليا

Liz : I have but there is something I need help with.

ليز: لقد فعلت ولكن هناك شيء احتاج مساعدتك به

Asha : Let me know what it is now. We still have an hour before the conference starts.

آشا: دعيني اعرف ما هو الان. مازال لدينا ساعة قبل بدء المؤتمر.

Liz : I need someone to set up the laptop in the conference room.

ليز: اني احتاج شخص لاعداد الحاسب الآلي بقاعة المؤتمرات.

Asha : When the technician comes to set that up I think we should do a sound test.

آشا: عندما يأتي الفني لاعداد هذا، اعتقد ان يجب اجراء اختبار للصوت.

Liz : Good thinking. We have to make sure that everyone in the room can hear clearly.

ليز: تفكير جيد. يجب ان نتأكد ان الجميع بالغرفة سيسمعون بوضوح.

Asha : I will get someone in here now. Is there anything else?

آشا: سأذهب لاستدعي احدهم هنا الان. هل هناك شيء أخر؟

Liz : Call the Secretaries and make sure their bosses have been reminded of the presentation. It is scheduled for 10:30am.

ليز: اتصلي بجميع السكرتارية وتأكدي ان مديريهم يتذكرون ميعاد العرض. موعدها المحدد هو العاشرة ونصف صباحا

Asha : I will have my assistant get right on that.

آشا: سأجعل مساعدتي تقوم بذلك الأن

Liz : Perfect, you are on top of everything.

ليز: رائع، انتي متفوقة في كل شيء.

Asha : Ok. Shall I organize breakfast also?

آشا: حسنا، هل نبدأ بتنسيق الفطور ايضا؟

Liz : Yes, for about ten persons. I already spoke to Miss Bain so you should work with her.

ليز: نعم، لعشرة اشخاص. لقد تحدثت بالفعل مع الأنسة بين فلذلك يجب عليك المتابعة معها.

Asha : I already have the caterer on standby for that. Light refreshments will be served 2 hours after you begin.

آشا: لقد اتفقت مع متعهد الحفلات بالفعل ليكون على استعداد لذلك. مقبلات خفيفة سيتم تقديمها بعد ساعتين من بدء العرض.

Liz : Looking at the runtime that seems like a good place to break. That would give the participants a change to think about the material presented so that we can have an extensive discussion in the question and answer segment.

ليز: بالنظر إلى وقت تشغيل العرض اعتقد انه الوقت المناسب للحصول على استراحة. فذلك سيتيح فرصة لجميع المشاركين التغيير للتفكير في المادة المقدمة لنتمكن من مناقشتها باسهاب في فقرة الأسئلة والأجوبة.

Asha : I have already set up the conference room with the documents you requested.

آشا: لقد اعددت بالفعل قاعة المؤتمرات بالمستندات التي طلبتيها.

Liz : Good. This is a very important presentation and I want everything to run smoothly.

ليز: جيد. هذا العرض هام جدا واريد ان يتم كل شيء بسلاسة.

Asha : Unfortunately the whiteboard is on loan to the Finance Department.

آشا: لسوء الحظ السبورة قد تم استعارتها من قبل قسم الادارة المالية.

Liz : We only have one?

ليز: لدينا فقط واحدة؟

Asha : I’ve asked the messenger to pick up one from the office supply store next door.

آشا: لقد طلبت من الساعي ان يلتقط واحدة من متجر الادوات المكتبية بجوارنا.

Liz : I appreciate your efficiency. Knowing that you have everything under control puts my mind at ease.

ليز: اني اقدر كفاءتك. معرفة انك مسيطرة على كل الامور تجعلني مرتاحة البال.

Asha : Thank you. I try to do my best in everything I do. I think it encourages others to do the same.

آشا: شكرا، احاول ان اقوم بافضل ما بوسعي. اعتقد اني تشجع الأخرين ان يفعلوا مثلي.

Liz : Check back with me at 10:00am and let me know how things are going.

ليز: تحققي معي مرة اخرى عند الساعة العاشرة صباحا ودعيني اعرف كيف تسير الامور

Asha : No problem. Give me a call if you need help with anything else in the meantime.

أشا: لامشكلة. فقط اطلبيني إذا ما اردت اي شيء خلال هذا الوقت.
