Eating out at a Restaurant

Asha : This is a great restaurant Liz. I was here last month with some girls from work. We’ve started doing progress meetings over lunch. Management thought it would make everyone more comfortable say what’s on their mind.

عائشة: إنه مطعم جيد ليز. كنت هنا الشهر الفائت مع بعض زميلات العمل . لقد بدأنا نعقد اجتماعات التطور على الغداء. فقد رأت الإدارة أن ذلك سيشعر الجميع براحة أكثر للتحدث.

Liz : I also got some good reviews about this place from a friend of mine. I like that idea, sounds like it would take the pressure off at work.

ليز: حصلت أيضا على بعض الآراء الجيدة عن هذا المكان من صديق لي . أحببت الفكرة، أعتقد أنها تخفف من ضغوطات العمل .

Hostess : Good afternoon, welcome to The Shell.

المضيفة: مساء الخير، مرحبا بكما في (شيل) .

Asha : Good afternoon. My name is Asha Smith, I have a reservation.

عائشة: مساء الخير. اسمي عائشة سميث ولدي حجز .

Hostess : Good afternoon Mrs. Smith. How many in your party?

المضيفة: مساء الخير سيدة عائشة. لكم فرد؟

Asha : Two.

عائشة: اثنان .

Hostess : Let me show you to your table.Your waiter will be right with you.

المضيفة: دعيني أصحبك إلى طاولتك. سيكون النادل معكم قريبا .

Asha : Thank you.

عائشة: شكرا لكِ .

Waiter : Good afternoon, I am Sam and I will be serving you this afternoon. Would you care for a drink while you’re reading the menu?

النادل: مساء الخير، أدعى سام وسأكون في خدمتكم هذا المساء. هل تودون مشروبا بينما تقرأون القائمة؟

Asha : No thanks, the water is fine for now.

عائشة: لا شكرا. سنكتفي بالماء الآن .

Waiter : I will be back in a few minutes.

النادل: سأعود بعد بضعة دقائق .

Asha : Hold on we will order now and can you take this bread with you?

عائشة: انتظر سنطلب الآن، وهل يمكنك أخذ هذا الخبز معك؟

Waiter : Yes of course.

النادل: أجل بالطبع .

Liz : What are you having Asha? I will have the roast beef with a garden salad.

ليز: ماذا ستطلبين؟ سأطلب لحم بقري مشوي مع سلطة خضراء .

Asha : I will have the steak medium rare with a Caesar salad.

عائشة: سأطلب لحم متوسط النضج مع سلطة القيصر .

Waiter : Are you having a beverage or just the water?

النادل: هل تودان مشروبا أم الماء فقط؟

Asha : I think a nice merlot would is appropriate since we are both having beef. What do you think Liz?

عائشة: أعتقد نبيذ ميرلو سيكون مناسبا بما أننا سنتناول اللحم. ما رأيك ليز؟

Liz : Sure I can go for a glass of merlot. Whatever the chef recommends.

ليز: بالطبع يمكنني طلب كوبا من نبيذ ميرلو. أيا كان ما يوصي به الطاهي .

Waiter : I will be back shortly.

النادل: سأعود سريعا .

Liz : I hope we don’t have to wait very long.

ليز: أتمنى ألا يطول انتظارنا .

Asha : I bet he will be back within fifteen minutes.

عائشة: أراهن أنه سيعود بعد ربع ساعة .

Liz : Good guess! Here he is now and right on time.

ليز: تخمين جيد . ها هو الآن في الموعد تماما .

Waiter : Here you are ladies. Is there anything else I can get for you?

النادل: تفضلن أيتها السيدتان. هل هناك شئ آخر أحضره إليكما؟

Asha : We are good for now thanks.

عائشة: كل شئ جيد إلى الآن شكرا .

Liz : This is some great food. How is yours?

ليز: هذا طعام جيد. ماذا عنك؟

Asha : Perfect. The steak was perfectly cooked.

عائشة: ممتاز. اللحم مطهو جيدا .

Liz : Waiter, excuse me, can we get the cheque please?

ليز: أيها النادل، عذرا، هل يمكن أن تحضر لنا الفاتورة من فضلك؟

Waiter : Your cheque Miss. I hope everything was to your satisfaction.

النادل: الفاتورة سيدتي. أتمنى أن يكون كل شئ قد نال رضاكما .

Liz : It was lovely, thank you.

ليز: كان رائعا. شكرا لك .

Waiter : Thank you. Please come again.

النادل: شكرا لكما، تفضلا بزيارتنا مرة أخرى .
