Buying meat at the Butcher’s shop

Liz : Good afternoon.

ليز: مساء الخير

Butcher : Hello, how are you today?

الجزار: اهلا، كيف حالك اليوم؟

Liz : I’m just fine thank you. I need some help choosing the best piece of meat.

ليز: اني بحال جيد شكرا. اريد مساعدتك في اختيار افضل قطعة لحم.

Butcher : Well that all depends on what you want to make and what kind of meat you like.

الجزار: حسنا هذا يتوقف على ماتريدين طهيه ومانوع اللحم الذي تحبين.

Liz : I suppose that makes sense.

ليز: اعتقد ان هذا منطقي.

Butcher : Just start by telling me what you are planning to make.

الجزار: فقط ابدئي بشرح ما تخططين ان تطهيه.

Liz : I want to have a barbeque this weekend so I am looking for something to put on the grill.

ليز: اريد القيام بالشوي في عطلة نهاية الاسبوع لذلك فأني ابحث عن شيء يمكن شيه.

Butcher : I see, then you will want a nice tender piece of meat.

الجزار: فهمت، اذن ستحتاجين إلى قطعة لحم لينة.

Liz : I am not an expert on the grill so I would like something that is easy to work with if possible.

ليز: انا لست خبيرة بالشي لذلك اريد شيئا سهل التعامل معه إذا امكن.

Butcher : Do you have a preference as to the type of meat?

الجزار: هل تفضلين نوع لحم بعينه؟

Liz : Well don’t forget I don’t know too much about the different cuts of meat.

ليز: حسنا، لاتنسى انا لا أعلم الكثير عن قطعيات اللحم المختلفة.

Butcher : I meant more in terms of what type of meat. Like do you want beef, pork or chicken?

الجزار: لقد قصدت اي نوع لحم تفضلين. أي هل تريدين لحم بقري، لحم خنزير أم دجاج؟

Liz : I think it would be nice to have a few options. What do you think grills well?

ليز: أظن انه من اللطيف الحصول على عدة خيارات. ماذا تظن ان يكون شيه جيد؟

Butcher : Steak is always nice.

الجزار: شرائح اللحم البقري دائما تكون جيدة.

Liz : Steak would be good but I also want to have some chicken.

ليز: شرائح اللحم ستكون جيدة ولكني اريد ايضا بعض من الدجاج.

Butcher : Well you are in luck I have some chicken breasts on special today.

الجزار: حسنا، انت محظوظة فهناك تخفيض على صدور دجاج اليوم.

Liz : Is that with or without the bone?

ليز: هل هي بالعظم ام بدونه؟

Butcher : I think it is better to use boneless pieces on the grill.

الجزار: اعتقد انه من الأفضل استخدام قطعيات خالية من العظم للشي.

Liz : I will take your word for it.

ليز: سآخذ بنصيحتك.

Butcher : I will go cut up some rib-eye steaks for you.

الجزار: سأقوم بقطع شرائح لحم بدون عظم لك.

Liz : Give me 4 of these pork cutlets also. I think 4 of each type will be enough.

ليز: اعطنى اربع من شرائح لحم الخنزير هذه. أعتقد ان أربعة من كل نوع ستكون كافية.

Butcher : That’s $76.49 in total.

الجزار: الأجمالي هو ستة وسبعون دولار وتسعة وأربعون سنتا.

Liz : Not bad for all that nice fresh meat. I will be back to let you know how they taste.

ليز: ليس سيئا لكل هذه اللحوم الطازجة. سأعود لأعلمك كيف كان الطعم.

Butcher : I look forward to it. Make sure you marinate your meat properly and the juices run off clear when it is cooked.

الجزار: اني اتوق لهذا. تأكدي من نقع اللحم بالخل جيدا وستزول السوائل خلال الطهي.
