Being an Invigilator
ان تكون مراقبا للأمتحان
Asha: Good morning everyone.
آشا: صباح الخير جميعا
Students: Good morning.
الطلاب: صباح الخير
Asha: I would like everyone to check to make sure that you are in the right exam room.
آشا: اريد ان من الجميع التأكد من وجوده بقاعة الامتحان الصحيحة.
A Student: How long is the exam?
طالب: كم سيستغرق الامتحان؟
Asha: This exam begins at 9:00am and finishes at 12 noon.
آشا: هذا الامتحان يبدأ الساعة التاسعة صباحا وينتهي الثانية عشر ظهرا.
A Student: Do normal examination rules apply here also?
طالب: هل القواعد العامة للامتحانات تطبق هنا ايضا؟
Asha: The booklets that you will be provided with will have instructions on the cover.
آشا: جميع الأرشادات مدونة على غلاف الكتيب الذي ستحصلون عليه.
A Student: What about if we need to take a break to use the restroom or something?
طالب: ماذا إذا اردنا ان نأخذ قسط من الراحة للذهاب إلى دورة المياة أو أي شيء؟
Asha: You will be accompanied by an invigilator if you need to leave the room for any reason.
آشا: سيتم مرافقتكم من قبل مراقب إذا أردتم ترك القاعة لأي سبب.
A Student: Are we permitted to have small things to snack on and beverages?
طالب: هل مسموح لنا بتناول تصبيرة او بتناول المشروبات؟
Asha: No. Are there anymore questions? Is everything clear?
آشا: كلا. هل لديكم أسئلة أخرى؟ هل كل شيء واضح؟
Students: We understand the instructions.
طالب: نحن نفهم التعليمات
Asha: Let me remind you that once the exam has started no talking are allowed.
آشا: دعوني اذكركم انه ريثما يبدأ الامتحان لايسمح بالكلام.
A Student: What about if we need to communicate with you at some point?
طالب: ماذا إذا اردنا ان نتواصل معك في نقطة محددة؟
Asha: If you have a question, please raise your hand and I will come to you.
آشا: إذا كان لديك سؤال، رجاء ارفع يدك وسآتي إليك.
A Student: Are we going to start soon?
طالب: هل سنبدأ قريبا؟
Asha: You may begin now.
آشا: يمكنكم البدء الآن.
A Student: Can you explain question one please?
طالب: رجاء، هل يمكنك شرح السؤال الأول؟
Asha: You are disturbing the class. I asked that you raise your hand. In any case I cannot explain questions to you
ِآشا: انت تزعج الصف. لقد طلبت منكم ان ترفعوا يدكم. في كل الاحوال لايمكنني شرح الأسئلة لك.
A Student: Excuse me, may I have another sheet of paper please?
طالب: عذرا، هل يمكنني الحصول على ورقة اخرى، رجاء؟
Asha: Certainly, here you are.
آشا: بالتأكيد، تفضل.
A student: May I go to the bathroom?
طالب: هل يمكنني الذهاب إلى دورة المياة؟
Asha: I am sure you are aware you are not allowed to go to the bathroom so soon after the exam started.
آشا: أنا متأكدة انك مدرك انك لايمكنك الذهاب إلى دورة المياة بعد بدء الامتحان مباشرة.
A Student: I’m sorry but I really need to go to the bathroom.
طالب: انا اسف ولكني بالفعل احتاج إلى الذهاب إلى دورة المياة.
Asha: I will have to get a male to accompany you to the bathroom.
آشا: يجب ان استدعي رجلا لمصاحبتك لدورة المياة.
A Student: Never mind I will wait.
طالب: لايهم، سانتظر.
Asha: Ladies and gentlemen, time is up. Please put down your pens.
آشا: سيداتي وسادتي، لقد انتهى الوقت. رجاء ضعوا الاقلام جانبا.
