Liz : So why did you drag me to this auction?
ليز: أذن لماذا جررتني إلى هذا المزاد؟
Ben : It is a good opportunity to get high end furniture at a low price.
بن: انها فرصة جيدة للحصول على اثاث عالي الجودة باسعار زهيدة
Liz : You know I don’t like to go to these things.
ليز: انت تعلم اني لااحب الذهاب إلى هذه الأماكن.
Ben : This is a different type of auction.This is not one where you just bid for used items. These are antiques being sold.
بن: انه نوع مختلف من المزادات. في هذا المزاد لاتزايدي على الاغراض المستعملة وحسب. فهذه تحف للبيع.
Liz: Well then that is a different story.
ليز: حسنا هذه قصة أخرى.
Ben: I had a feeling you would have a change of heart once you realised what was being sold. You are the antiques expert.
بن: لدي احساس انك سوف تغيرين رأيك حالما تستوعبين ما يتم بيعه. انك خبيرة بالتحف.
Liz: Can I hold the paddle?
ليز: هل يمكنني حمل الشارة؟
Ben: No you can’t. I don’t want you bidding for things we don’t need.
بن: كلا، لايمكنك. لا أريدك ان تزايدي على أشياء لانريدها.
Liz: You brought me with you to get my expertise on the antiques didn’t you?
ليز: لقد احضرتني إلى هنا لتستفيد من خبرتي بالتحف، اليس كذلك؟
Ben: Yes I did. We only have about fifteen minutes to look at the items before the auction starts so can we start now?
بن: نعم لقد فعلت. لدينا فقط خمسة عشر دقائق لرؤية المعروضات قبل ان يبدء المزاد. هل نبدء الآن؟
Liz: I can tell you straight away the first few items are not even worth bidding for.
ليز: يمكنني ان اقول لك دون تردد ان الأغراض الأولى لاتساوي المزايدة عليها.
Ben: Why would you say that?
بن: لماذا تقولي هذا؟
Liz: In my expertise they always keep the most impressive items for the end of the auction.
ليز: بخبرتي انهم دائما ما يتركون الاغراض القيمة لنهاية المزاد.
Ben: Well it’s a good thing you are here with me. I’ve never heard about that.
بن: حسنا أنه لمن الجيد ان تكوني معي هنا. لم اسمع عن هذا قط.
Liz: It can be a challenge to know which items are worth bidding on.
ليز: انه لتحدي ان تعلم اي الاغراض التي تستحق ان تزايد عليها.
Ben: Do you see any items in particular that looks good?
بن: هل ترين اغراض معبنة تبدو لك جيدة؟
Liz: The number four painting would be a great buy along with the silverware.
ليز: اللوحة رقم اربعة قد تكون صفقة ناجحة مع الفضيات.
Ben: Let’s go and buy some antiques.
بن: دعينا نذهب لشراء بعض التحف.
Liz: These items are valuable but you still need to avoid bidding too high. Here I wrote down the suggested price.
ليز: هذه الاغراض قيمة ولكن علينا تجنب المزايدة باسعار عالية. لقد دونت هنا الاسعار المقترحة.
Ben: Thanks, and you will be getting a commission if I am able to get the items.
بن: شكرا، وستحصلين على عمولة ان استطعت الحصول على ما اريد.
Liz: During the auction you should just relax and take your bids slowly. You don’t want to look desperate for whichever item you are bidding on.
ليز: خلال المزاد يجب ان تسترخي وتقوم بمزايداتك بهدوء. فانك لا تريد ان تبدو متلهفا على اي من الأغراض التي تزايد عليها.
Ben: I suppose that might make other people interested in the item if it appears that I am desperate to have it.
بن: أظن ان ذلك قد يدفع الأخرين بالاهتمام بالقطعة إذا ما بدوت متلهفا للحصول عليها.
Liz: Exactly which would result in you paying more for the item than you need to.
ليز: بالضبط مما سينتج عنه انك ستدفع اكثر مما يجب عليك فعله.
