Attending a P.T.A Meeting

حضور اجتماع لجمعية الاباء والمعلمين

President : Have you seen the agenda for the meeting?

الرئيس: هل رأيتم جدول اعمال الاجتماع؟

Parent : There is a stack of agendas by the entrance.

ولي الأمر: هناك مجموعة من جداول الاعمال على المدخل.

President : We placed it there so that as the parents enter they can sign the attendance book and collect an agenda.

الرئيس: وضعناها هناك حتى يقوم اولياء الامور بالتوقيع على دفتر الحضور والحصول على جدول الاعمال.

Parent : How long is your welcoming address?

ولي الأمر: كم سيستغرق خطاب الترحيب الخاص بك؟

President : I will try to be brief because we have several things to address today.

الرئيس: سأحاول ان اكون مختصر لأنه لدينا العديد من الاشياء التي نريد ان نتناولها؟

Parent : Will the outgoing president be saying a few words before you?

ولي الأمر: هل سيقوم الرئيس السابق بالقاء بعض الكلمات قبلك؟

President : He spoke at the last meeting.

الرئيس: هو تكلم في الاجتماع الاخير.

Parent : I just asked as I see the out- going PTA treasurer will present her report after you speak.

ولي الأمر: انا فقط اسأل حيث رأيت ان امين الصندوق السابق سيقدم تقرير بعد حديثك.

President : That is scheduled for 25 minutes.

الرئيس: من المقرر ان يكون لمدة دقيقة.

Parent : Will she make her report to speak about the expected results from fundraising and other projects last year.

ولي الأمر: هل سيكون التقرير عن النتائج المتوقعة من جمع التبرعات والمشاريع الاخرى خلال العام الماضي.

President : We didn’t meet all of our targets so now we will have to figure out what projects we want to take on this year.

الرئيس: لم نحقق جميع اهدافنا لذلك سيكون علينا تحديد اية مشاريع سنكملها هذا العام.

Parent : I suppose we will take it to a vote.

ولي الأمر: افترض اننا سنقوم بالتصويت.

President : We have to take a vote on that and we also need to fill the remaining positions on the PTA.

الرئيس: يجب علينا ان نقوم بالتصويت على ذلك كما اننا نحتاج ان نملأ الوظائف الخالية بمجلس الاباء والمعلمون.

Parent : I see why you say there are a few things to do in this meeting.

ولي الأمر: ارى لماذا تقول ان هناك عدة اشياء للقيام بها في هذا الاجتماع.

President : We will have to keep an eye on the time so we don’t keep everyone here longer than necessary.

الرئيس: سيكون علينا مراقبة الوقت حتى لانبقي الجميع اكثر من اللازم.

Parent : That’s right or we might risk them eventually becoming disinterested.

ولي الأمر: هذا صحيح فنحن نخاطر قد يفقدوا الاهتمام.

President : So can you help me with this important task?

الرئيس: اذن هل يمكنك ان تساعدني في هذه المهمة الهامة؟

Parent : I don’t mind at all. I will just sit near to you in the front to give you gentle reminders as you chair the meeting.

ولي الأمر: لاامانع على الاطلاق. سأجلس فقط بالقرب منك في الامام لتذكيرك بالأشياء الصغيرة بينما ترأس الاجتماع.

President : Let us begin with a prayer in the welcome message.

الرئيس: دعنا نبدأ بالدعاء في رسالة الترحيب.

Parent : I think that would be welcomed.

ولي الأمر: اعتقد انه سيتم الترحيب بذلك.
