At the Market

Asha: Wow! What a nice market. It looks like they have everything here.

آشا: ياللروعة! انه حقا سوق لطيف. يبدو ان لديهم كل شىء هنا.

Liz: They have just about everything you can think of. This is my favourite place to shop for fresh produce.

ليز: لديهم كل شىء يمكن ان تفكري به. هذا مكاني المفضل لشراء المنتجات الطازجة.

Asha: There are vegetables, meat, food and even some clothing here. I have never seen anything like it.

آشا: يوجد خضروات، لحوم، اطعمة وكذلك بعض من الثياب هناك. لم أرى أبدا شيء كهذا.

Liz: After the renovation they made space for even more vendors than before.

ليز: بعد التجديدات، قاموا باتاحة مساحة لبائعين اكثر من قبل.

Asha: I want to take a look around. Do you know where you want to go already?

آشا: أريد ان القي نظرة عامة. هل تعلمين اين تريدين الذهاب؟

Liz: All I need today are some fruits.

ليز: كل ما احتاجه اليوم هو بعض الفاكهة.

Asha: Where is the best stall for vegetables?

آشا: ما هو أفضل كشك لبيع الخضروات.

Liz: I’ll take you to my favourite vendor. He is here on the left.

آشا: سآخذك إلى بائعي المفضل. ها هو على اليسار.

Asha: The vegetables here look amazing.What is the price of the tomatoes?

آشا: الخضروات هنا تبدو رائعة. ما هو سعر البندورة؟

Vendor: I am selling them at $5 per kilo.

البائع: اني ابيع الكيلو بخمسة دولارات.

Asha: That’s not bad. My I have a bag so that I can choose which ones I want?

آشا: هذا ليس سيئا. هل يمكنني الحصول على حقيبة حتى اختار ما اريد منها؟؟

Vendor: You will find plastic bags next to all the vegetables. When you are finished just come to the register and I will weigh them for you.

البائع: ستجدين حقائب بلاستيكية بجانب جميع الخضروات. عندما تنتهين، فقط اذهبي إلى الخزينة وسأقوم بوزنها لك.

Asha: That sounds simple enough. Is there also a scale out here so that I can weigh them before I come to you to pay?

آشا: هذا يبدوا سهلا جدا. هل يوجد ميزان هناك لأزن الاشياء قبل القيام بالدفع؟

Vendor: Just to the right of the cabbages there you can weigh your produce.

البائع: أذهبي فقط إلى يمين الكرنب. هناك يمكنك ان تزني مشترياتك.

Asha: I will take the tomatoes, parsnip, celery root and beets.

آشا: سأخذ البندورة، الجزر الأبيض، الكرفس والبنجر

Vendor: You have 700g parsnip at $3 per kilo, 500g celery root at $4 per kilo, 300g beets at $2.25 and 400g tomatoes.

البائع: لديك 700 جرام من الجزر الابيض قيمته ثلاث دولارات بالكيلو، خمسمائة جرام من جذر الكرفس بأربع دولارات الكيلو، وثلاثمائة جرام ب2.25 دولار و اربعمائة جرام من البندورة

Liz: The prices here are unbeatable.

ليز: الأسعار هنا خارج نظاق المنافسة

Asha: I’m sure I will be back again soon.

آشا: انا متأكدة اني سأعودإلى هنا قريبا.

Liz: Let’s go over by the fruits, after all that’s what we are really here for.

ليز: دعينا نذهب إلى قسم الفواكه، بالنهاية هذا سبب قدومنا هنا.

Asha: Oh yes I forgot. Look at the variety, there are so many to choose from.

ِآشا: أوه نعم، لقد نسيت. انظرى إلى المجموعات المتنوعة، هناك الكثير للاختيار منه.

Liz: They have tropical fruits like pineapple, bananas and mangoes.

ليز: لديهم فاكهة استوائية مثل الاناناس، الموز والمانجو

Asha: There are many things you can’t normally find at the grocery store.

آشا: يوجد العديد من الأشياء التي لا تجديها بصفة عامة لدي محل البقالة.

Liz: I love passion fruit. I will add a few of those to my basket. How are they selling anyway?

ليز: اني احب فاكهة زهرة الألام. سأضيف البعض منها في السلة الخاصة بي. ما سعرها على اية حال؟

Asha: I think they are fairly reasonable considering they have to come from so far away. The sign says $4.50 per kilo.

آشا: اظن ان سعرها معقول جدا باعتبار ان يتم نقلها من مسافة بعيد جدا. السعر المكتوب أربعة دولارات ونصف للكيلو

Liz: Let’s get enough for a couple of days and we could always return for more.

ليز: فلنشترى ما يكفينا لبضعة ايام، يمكننا العودة دائما للمزيد.
