نكمل معكم الجزء الثاني من درس تعابير انجليزية تستخدم الطيور في سياقها حيث توجد العديد من المصطلحات في اللغة الإنجليزية التي تستخدم كلمة Bird او أحد أنواع الطيور لتصف به شيء آخر. وقد تتفاجئ بأن عدد هذة المصطلحات كبير جداً لذلك حاولنا من خلال هذه الدروس ان نختار لكم اهم واشهر هذه المصطلحات. الان دعونا نتعرف سويا على بعض أهم هذة المصطلحات ومعانيها و أمثلة عليها في اللغة الإنجليزية.
Chicken And Egg Situation. - Doctors don’t know whether sedentary lifestyles lead to bad health conditions or bad health conditions force people to lead sedentary lifestyles. It is a chicken and egg situation.
هو موقف لا تعرف بدايته من نهايته او وقف لا تعرف فيه م حدث قبل الآخر.
Under The Wings of (Someone). -The daughter is under the wings of her smart and loving mother.
شخص يعتني بك فأنت تحت جناحيه. كوالديك مثلا.
Spread One's Wings. - I’ve spread my wings. I’ve worked on my craft and have learned a lot along the way.
أن تعمل مستقلا فتسمح لنفسك بفرص للنجاح أو الفشل و التعلم.
Pecking Order. - This is life’s pecking order. People need to first satisfy their needs for foods before they can satisfy their needs for prestige.
التعبير يدل على ترتيب الأمور وفق لأهميتها.
Lame Duck. - He thought that he was already a lame duck so he took a vacation during his last few days as the governor of the state.
يصف التعبير شخص ذو منصب ما ولكنه ليس له سلطة عليه لأنه على وشك مغادرته أو سيتم استبداله.
Kill Two Birds with One Stone. - She was able to kill two birds with one stone during her trip to Paris. She had a business meeting with her client then went sightseeing!
يضرب عصفورين بحجر واحد. أي يكون هناك استفادة مذدوجة من أمر ما.
Fly the Coop. - We badly wanted to fly the coop. We could hardly wait for the conference to end because it was so boring!
أن تهرب أو تخرج.
The Early Bird Catches the Worm. - The early bird catches the worm so I start my day early and make sure I complete my tasks before retiring to bed.
يعني التعبير ن ن يصحو مبكرا يستطيع تحقيق أمور أكثر وأكبر في حياته.
Eagle Eye. - The quality assurance manager checked the products with an eagle eye, making sure each unit is free of flaws.
يعني التعبير القدرة العالية على الملاحظة.
Birds-Eye View. - The rescuers got a birds-eye view of the disaster-hit area when they surveyed the place from a helicopter.
الرؤية من مكان مرتفع. رؤية شاملة.
As Proud as a Peacock. - He is proud as a peacock of his job. He works for a very big bank and earns a lot of money.
شخص مغرور و مهتم بنفسه فقط
As Free as a Bird. - After finally facing her fears, she is now as free as a bird.
شخص ليس لديه أى مشاغل أو هموم أو مسؤوليات.
